New Transfer Route From Grenoble Airport to Chamrousse
Nov 21st, 2011 by skitransferadvice
New scheduled transfer service from Grenoble Airport to Chamrousse. Ben’s Bus has this year started a yet another new route. Following the success of their current routes to Alpe d’Huez, Les 2 Alpes, Val d’Isere Tignes and others, they will this year run shared transfers from Grenoble Airport to Chamrousse on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and from Chamrousse back to Grenoble Airport on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. With a very short transfer time of 1 hour 15 minutes, it’s perfect for a quick week-end getaway or a week long family trip.
The resort of Chamrousse is located at the end of the Belledonne mountains, 30km away from Grenoble. It extends on two levels : Chamrousse 1650 (Recoin) and Chamrousse 1750-1700 (Roche Béranger - Bachat-Bouloud) linked by the ski slopes and the forest tracks, for an overall area of 1300 hectares. The resort was built in the forest, offering an outstanding overview of the Grenoble valley. 2250 meters high, the Croix de Chamrousse is the highest point.
As with all their other routes, they have English and French speaking reps to greet you at the airport and they promise to never leave either the resort or airport without first calling you to find out where you are. They have an extremely good reputation for customer services and seem to really care and take pride in what they do.
Prices start at £43pp Return for a Saturday to Saturday, with a weekday surcharge of £5.50 and a Sunday Surcharge of £3.50
They have 4 stops conveniently placed around the resort and they seem to be flexible in terms of dropping larger groups to there door when it’s possible.
