On the slopes in one hour

Given this seasons fantastic snow conditions you might just want to leave the UK for a short ski break. If you do, you really want to minimise your travel time and maximise you time on the slopes.
Below our guide to ski resorts which you can reach within one hour transfer from the listed airport. If you manage to check in for an early flight before 6am you should just get there for the first lift.

Grenoble airport to Alpe d’Huez
Grenoble airport to Les Deux Alpes
One hour to Ski Resorts in Germany:
Munich airport to Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Munich airport to Inzell
One hour to Ski Resorts in Italy:

There is another group of smaller ski resorts within one hour from the above airports. However, most of them are lower altitude (highest ski lift < 1500m). You have to check snow conditions before you plan your trip to low altitude ski resort. That way you don’t save time just to get to slopes without snow.
