About Verbier

Verbier is situated at the centre of the 4 Valleys, in the French-speaking part of the Valais and in the heart of the Alps. Verbier is located at an altitude of 1500 metres, with great views over many peaks including the Mt Blanc.The ski resort of Verbier has a very large skiing area with a network of 410 km of runs and over 100 modern ski lifts. The highest point of the skiing area is the Mont Fort at 3330 meters, which makes Verbier a relatively snow save ski resort and favourite for beginners and experts alike

Verbier Accessibility

Verbier is only 250 km from the Basel and 170 km from Geneva and only 25 km from the main motorway connecting Geneva, Lausanne, Basel, Zurich in Switzerland and Turing in Italy. The closest and most convenient airport is Geneva International, only 2 hours 15 minutes away by airport transfer. However Berne and Turin airports are also viable airport transfer options.

Verbier has not got a train station. If you want to travel by train you have to aim for Martigny, which is very close to Verbier ( a very short bus / taxi ride). However with the airport transfer options available from Geneva airport, public transport is a less convenient option as you might have to change trains in Lausanne, adding to your transfer time.
